Google Voice

How small nonprofits use Google Voice

Using Google Voice with Gmail vs Google Workspace

Troubleshooting Google Voice:

Issue: Calls to your google voice number are not being forwarded to your cell phone

Things to check:

  1. Try a test call to make sure the web interface rings when you can your Google Voice number
  2. Make sure your cell number is listed as a linked number for the line and that the inbound call forwarding to that number is enabled
  3. Check your cell phone to make sure you don’t have your google voice number blocked … this sounds obvious, but you would be amazed how many times this is actually the culprit for Google Voice forwarding issues
  4. Try unlinking and re-linking your mobile number to your Google Voice line.
  5. If all else fails, try the Google Voice mobile app which doesn’t require forwarding in order to receive calls
